Privacy/Records Security

At Tenant-Net we do not sell our records to data warehouses, marketers, or other independent third parties. The only parties who receive our records/data are property owners or managers who are also customers of Tenant-Net.

More importantly, we never release any information concerning any individual/tenant unless that individual specifically authorizes the collection and release of that information. Further, the records/data will only be released to the property owner or manager designated by the potential tenant.

IN EFFECT, EACH INDIVIDUAL/TENANT CONTROLS WHO RECEIVES THEIR RENTAL AND CREDIT HISTORY DATA FROM TENANT-NET.

Finally, though we forward an individual tenant's credit report to their designated property owner/manager, we do not record or retain those reports pursuant to our agreements with TRANS UNION, and per the requirements of the Federal Fair Credit Act.

At Tenant-Net, our business is to assist tenants in finding and renting great apartments. We will always strive to assure each tenant's personal privacy as part of that process.

RECORDS SECURITY:
We believe rental history records should be secure at all times. Thus, we have taken steps to assure our records are protected from prying eyes. As you might guess, we have done the traditional things like creating multiple passwords, and setting up appropriate, tested firewalls. We also do not store our database on any laptop.

We are also planning to add additional biometric security which will prevent any unauthorized third parties from accessing our main computer system from within the building.

Finally, Tenant-Net has deployed the latest software encryption available. Critical data within our records (Social Security Number and Drivers License Number) is now permanently encrypted. Our software developer has installed the latest, strongest encryption coding called "AES." See the Wikipedia link concerning AES below if you would like to learn more. You can be sure we will routinely monitor encryption standards in the future should AES be surpassed by an even more complex and protective system.
