Survey ResultsIn January 2008, Tenant–Net sent out a survey to approximately 400 of our over 1500 Customer–Members. We chose this specific group because all these Customer–Members did less business with us, meaning less searches when comparing calendar year 2006 with calendar year 2007. We wanted to learn why they had done less searches. Was it us, some failing on our part, or was it the economy slowing down. Here’s what we learned.
A. REASONS FOR DECLINE:Of the 117 Owners who did less searches in 2007 than 2006, they reported the following reasons for the decline:
Conclusions: As you can see, most of these Owners simply had fewer vacancies in 2007 versus 2006. Some (11) reported selling some units, and about 5-6% reported receiving fewer applicants. It is our conclusion that as the economy got rocky in 2007 and as the “credit crisis” got going, tenants opted to stay put and hunker down. And, we were not surprised to learn some Owners opted to conserve resources and screen a few less applicants (Although this can be a somewhat risky long term strategy). B. Satisfaction Survey:We also asked our Customer–Members whether they would refer us to family and friends. We set the scoring as follows: 10 being would strongly refer and 1 being would not refer at all.
Conclusions: Of the 117 Customer-Members who did less business between calendar year 2007 versus calendar year 2006, the vast majority (93%) would strongly recommend Tenant-Net to their family and friends. Now, almost 300 Customer-Members did not return their surveys. So, we cannot be complacent. Therefore, we remain focused on providing the highest level of service and support possible and, we will follow-up with a matching survey in 2008. C. SUGGESTIONS:Finally, we asked for ideas, comments and suggestions from our Customer-Members. You can view some of their responses on the “Testimonials” page of this website.
